Brian Kelly is the Prince Charles of College Football

Can someone please explain to me what is wrong with college football today? Cincinnati coach Brian Kelly is abandoning his number 3 Ranked, Undefeated 12-0 team before the Sugar Bowl to go coach at Notre Dame. I mean it’s one thing if the guy wants to take another job, it would screw over a lot of underclassmen, but what else is new? No, this is far worse.

To actually leave your team and not even coach them in the 2nd biggest bowl game of this post season is borderline despicable. His team is 12-0, they have a shot at an undefeated season. Theoretically they could even get first place votes in the rankings. They are playing in a BCS bowl against the Florida Gators, probably the biggest game in the history of Cincinnati’s program.

And this scumbag is sneaking out of town so he can run to Notre Dame.

This is the equivalent of leaving your beautiful wife to go screw around with some washed up old hag with bad teeth. The joke is on Brian Kelly though, because he won’t be sniffing another bowl game of this magnitude for years, if ever. Good luck at Notre Dame, you will need it.

College football needs to do something about these coaches leaving their former schools high and dry especially during the post season. You don’t see teams tampering with NFL coaches while they are in the playoffs (Jets & Parcells in 1996 aside) and it is for good reason. The season ends when the POST SEASON ENDS. Schools should not be allowed to hire coaches of teams with bowl dates until after all the bowl games have been played.

Governor Crist wants Jaguars to Draft Timmy Teblow

Florida Governor Charlie Crist is extending his cluelessness outside the world of politics and now making commentary on sports, specifically football. Apparently Charlie Crist thinks that the Jacksonville Jaguars should draft Timmy Teblow to help their struggling franchise.

“Should they [draft Tebow]? I’ve actually talked to the ownership about that. I think it would be great,” Crist said.

“He’s a great Floridian. He’s much more a great human being than he is a quarterback in my humble opinion,” Crist said.

Let’s get something straight Governor. First of all, stick to politics, you have enough problems there. Second, its not shocking that you love Timmy Teblow because he’s probably the only male in the state whose sexuality is more in doubt than your own. You have to wonder about anyone who feels the need to circumcise poor Filipino children on their spring break.

Lastly, Timmy Teblow will not even sniff the field in the NFL. He will be lucky to be a day two draft pick who ends up washing jockstraps and holding the coach’s clipboard. He is without a doubt the most overrated player in college football. The Jacksonville Jaguars know this, that is why they are 7-5 and looking at a wild card spot and you are facing a primary challenge from a real conservative.

Oh and there is one other problem with Timmy Teblow playing in the NFL.

THERE IS NO CRYING IN FOOTBALL!

Bailed Out Banks Sponsor Sports with Taxpayer Money

I don’t know about the rest of you but I am fed up with this bailout debacle. Rather than wasting close to 4 trillion dollars and then watching these greedy irresponsible banks just fail anyways, maybe we should have saved that money instead of adding it onto an already insurmountable national debt.

What has gone on in this country in the past six months is an absolute disgrace. Millions of Americans are being thrown out of work or losing their homes but instead of helping them the US Government has decided to assist the people who got us all into this mess in the first place. How do these banks pay us back? Oh they aren’t going to pay us back, you can bet on that. But they still have the nerve to spend millions sponsoring sports events and stadiums. This is the equivalent of giving that down on your luck friend of yours a loan so he can pay the rent and instead you find him out at a strip club buying lap dances. The banks are saying that the money for these sponsorships come from different funds. Newsflash, when you are broke and insolvent it all comes from the same place.

How long is the American public going to stand for this robbery? How long are people going to stand by while they lose their jobs and homes and see yet another sporting event sponsored by a bank that is on the public dole? The solution is the same as it has been for the past 6 months, LET THEM FAIL!

Actually I have an even better idea. Citibank received 45 billion in TARP taxpayer money, which comes out to around $450 for every tax paying American. So the next time you receive your credit card bill from Citibank subtract $450 per taxpayer from the balance owed and let them know that they already received it as a cash advance. They should consider themselves lucky we don’t tack on finance charges and an overlimit fee.
