Neocon Glenn Beck Bastardizes Nolan Chart

Glenn Beck brought out the Nolan Chart on his show the other night. He was attempting to explain his theory that most Americans fall within the Libertarian/Conservative/Centrist area. While this idea is probably accurate his representation of himself as a Libertarian is a complete joke. Glenn Beck is far from being a Libertarian, the man is a Neocon like Bush & Cheney before him.

In discussing the Nolan Chart, Beck talked about economic issues and a little on social issues but somehow the subject of a trillion dollar war and the Patriot Act escaped him. That would probably because he in favor of the Patriot Act as well as the phony wars in Iraq & Afghanistan. He did mention corporate welfare and pretended like he was opposed to it, yet this is the same guy who supported the Bankster Bailout. He probably left these things out because there is no Neocon spot on the Nolan Chart. They just get dumped in with the rest of the statists at the bottom, right where Glenn Beck belongs.

Karl Rove Giving Advice to Tea Partiers (No Thanks!)

Karl Rove recently wrote an op-ed piece in the Wall Street Journal entitled Where the Tea Parties Should Go From Here. He thinks that the Tea Parties should remain independent of the 2 major political parties rather than associating themselves with the Republicans. While I agree in that regard, I cannot agree with another statement he made.

If tea party groups are to maximize their influence on policy, they must now begin the difficult task of disassociating themselves from cranks and conspiracy nuts. This includes 9/11 deniers, “birthers” who insist Barack Obama was not born in the U.S., and militia supporters espousing something vaguely close to armed rebellion.

Hey Karl, newsflash, the 9/11 Truthers and Ron Paul supporters are the ones who started the Tea Party movement back in 2006 & 2007. It was not started by you, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin or any of your other Neocon friends. Stick to the GOP, nobody needs your advice.

Fascist Neocon Bill O’Reilly vs Oath Keepers

Bill O’Reilly recently had on Mark Potok from the Southern Poverty Law Center who characterized the Oath Keepers as right wing extremists. I guess following the Constitution is pretty extreme these days. The next day O’Reilly had on Stewart Rhodes, the founder of the Oath Keepers, and once again called them extreme for refusing to obey unconstitutional orders. Rhodes made some excellent points especially about the consequences for soldiers and law enforcement who have followed illegal orders in the past.

The end result is clear, Bill O’Reilly only believes in the Constitution when it is convenient. He would not hesitate to violate the Bill of Rights and believes that the government should have full police powers and the ability to declare martial law whenever they want. You tell me who the extremist is.
