We all know that 99% of the politicians in Washington DC are borderline criminals who should be thrown in jail rather than reelected or supported. There are a few intelligent men however who can actually comprehend the US Constitution and understand that the oppressive and intrusive government that we all suffer under today is an abomination that was never intended by our founding fathers.

One of these men is Peter Schiff. The first time I saw Peter was on one of those financial news shows, you know the type where they have 4 cheerleaders and 1 realist who has some semblance of reality. Peter was and always has been the voice of reason. When pump & dumpers were on CNBC insisting that the housing market would rise forever, Peter was there with a dose of reality that the bubble would burst. When Federal Reserve sycophants were on praising Greenspan & Bernanke for their “economy saving” policies, Peter was there to speak the truth. He detailed how these men caused the problems with their irresponsible easy money policies and that they they were merely delaying and exacerbating the problem by continuing to encourage Americans to leverage themselves to the hilt.

Peter Schiff represents the Libertarian Wing of the Republican Party and believes in small government and free market principles. He is one of the few men in America that can save this country from itself.

I am ashamed to say that I voted for Obama. I also voted for Bush twice so I guess my track record the past few elections is not so great. When you consider the alternatives however, I did not have much of choice. I voted for Obama because I thought he would put an end to the failed economic policies of Bush and actually help the middle class. When he picked Tim Geithner as his Treasury Secretary I knew I had made a mistake. When I saw him continue the same bankster bailout policies of Bush, it confirmed that we were going to get more of the same and that the only change we would get was the change in our pockets. Now I can accept the fact that someone has a different ideology than myself, but I will not accept blatant lies being fed to the American People.

The jobs report came out today and they reported that unemployment went down in July. Of course they didn’t mention the 422,000 people who just “dropped” out of the workforce. Nor did they include the people who have run out of unemployment benefits and therefore are no longer counted by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.The statistics reported by the BLS are a complete fabrication and manipulation of reality. It is not the first time the government has lied to us, but they are really reaching new depths of deceit by trying to promote an imaginary recovery.

Of course the idiot talking heads in the mainstream media are declaring that the depression is over. That is expected from those cheerleaders but to make matters worse the President actually had the audacity to come out today and declare the same thing at a press conference today.

Today, we’re pointed in the right direction. We’re losing jobs at less than half the rate we were when I took office. We’ve pulled the financial system back from the brink, and a rising market is restoring value to those 401(k)s that are the foundation of a secure retirement. We’ve enabled families to reduce the payments on their mortgages, making their homes more affordable and reducing the number of foreclosures. We helped revive the credit markets and opened up loans for families and small businesses.

While we’ve rescued our economy from catastrophe, we’ve also begun to build a new foundation for growth. That’s why we passed an unprecedented recovery act less than a month after I took office, and did so without any of the earmarks or pork-barrel spending that’s so common in Washington.

This is a blatant lie and Obama has now crossed over the line from ideology and politics to openly deceiving the American people. He must take Americans for complete idiots if he expects them to believe this load of bullshit. For him to take credit for a recovery that does not exist is simply despicable. I disagreed with his policies, but what little respect I had for him is also now gone.

The White House blog recently posted a request for people to report anyone who is opposed to healthcare reform. Apparently tattling is alive and well and the Obama Administration is stealing yet another page from “1984″ by encouraging people to turn each other in for “thought crimes.”

So the only question is, can I turn myself in, and if I do, is there a reward? I’m guessing a one way all expenses paid trip to the Gulag may be the grand prize.

Did I miss something, when we we suddenly turn into Soviet Russia or Nazi Germany?
